The past few days have been hectic for me. I've been sat at my computer, frantically typing away, editing the manuscript for STANDSTILL.
These are the big, structural edits that my editor and I have decided on. Which means I'm changing a few of the scenes at the beginning, thickening out the existing scenes and the character’s depths. I'm also filling in a few of those all important plot holes. This is all geared towards making the novel better in every way - and also making 2018 the best year in the process!
As I'm going through the manuscript, I've been thoroughly enjoying my work, and I feel like it's going to be a really good read for everyone. It's exciting, and the stakes are at an all time high for Jake.
At the moment there are about 60+ chapters to edit in total, and so far, after a few days, I'm a third of the way through. There's still a long way to go.
I'm determined to have the manuscript completely finished by the end of the month. It’ll be a hard push but I think it's entirely possible.
After I've completed the edits and finalised everything else, STANDSTILL will be made available for pre-order. The release date is still yet to be confirmed, but I'll be updating as I go along.
During the editing process, I'm going to be keeping all of the deleted scenes. These will be made available to all my beta readers and street team. They may or may not change your perception of the novel, but either way it's going to be a pulse-racing thriller!
